Day 1: Arrival

Early Morning: Depart from your home to catch your flight to Newark New Jersey or JFK airport in Queens. We arrived in Newark (EWR) and had a shuttle pick us up at the airport and take us to Manhattan. I pre-booked the shuttle for a hassle-free ride to Manhattan, with a convenient drop-off at Madison Square Park.

Lunch (1:00 PM – 3:00 PM): Enjoy lunch with your friends in Madison Square Park amidst the greenery, just a 12-minute walk from Penn Station. Enjoy the park’s vibrant atmosphere and choose from a variety of food trucks nearby for a casual lunch.

Airbnb Check-in (3:00 PM – 4:00 PM): Settle into your cozy Airbnb or hotel. We rented a 3 bedroom Airbnb in Midtown, a strategic location for exploring NYC. Unpack, freshen up, and get ready for an evening of exploration.
Exploration (4:00 PM – 6:00 PM): Venture into the heart of the Village, strolling through Bleaker Street. Soak in the eclectic vibe, boutique shops, and street performers.
Evening Delights: Begin with a happy hour adventure, visiting spots like Murray’s Cheese for an exquisite cheese tasting, ChikaLicious for a sweet treat, or Big Gay Ice Cream for a whimsical ice cream experience. For those seeking a hidden gem, sneak into Please Don’t Tell Bar for a speakeasy experience or indulge in chocolate delights at Max Brenner Chocolate Bar.

Dinner Options: Choose from a variety of cuisines – The Restaurant at Great Jones Distilling Co and try some New York whiskey & cocktails, or John’s Pizza for classic New York-style pizza (no slices). One of my favorite pizza restaurants.
Comedy Cellar Show (9:30 PM): End the night with laughter at the Comedy Cellar. Ensure to make reservations ahead for a guaranteed fun evening.

Day 2: Cultural Deep Dive

Breakfast Options: Start your day with a delicious breakfast at Bouchon Bakery or Ess A Bagel, both offering mouth-watering options close to St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

Morning Sightseeing: Visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral to admire its gothic architecture, followed by a trip to Rockefeller Center to witness the hustle and bustle of NYC. If you have room from breakfast, have a cocktail at the Rockefeller bar. Rockefeller Center been featured in many films, including Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, where Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) is reunited with his mother at the end of the movie at the Christmas tree; Autumn in New York: Will (Richard Gere) & Charlotte (Winona Ryder) ice skate here; Elf and many more. Engage in window shopping along the luxurious 5th Avenue.
Chelsea Market (11:30 AM): Immerse yourself in the foodie paradise of Chelsea Market, exploring a wide range of culinary delights.

The High Line (12:30 PM – 1:15 PM): Take a leisurely stroll on the High Line, enjoying the elevated park’s unique perspective of the city.

9/11 Memorial & Museum (2:00 PM): Set aside a few hours in the afternoon to visit the solemn and deeply moving 9/11 Memorial & Museum. As you enter this hallowed ground at 2:00 PM, prepare to engage in a profound journey of remembrance and education.
